For single-adviser firms or where the principal adviser is seeking to sell and exit, the valuation will be determined by the recurring revenue of the firm with consideration of the client-book (e.g. age profile).

The payment profile will vary to reflect the deal structure and the requirements of the seller, however, it will typically see the majority of total consideration paid upfront on completion of the sale with the remaining consideration paid within 24 months.
