Firms and advisers can continue to support their clients their way and in their best interest with minimal disruption or distraction. There is no requirement to move clients to a particular platform or CIP.

For larger, typically multi-adviser firms participating in the Business Buyout programme, valuation is determined by underlying profitability taking into account the historic and projected growth, characteristics of the business and market conditions. For single-adviser firms or where the principal adviser is seeking to sell and exit, valuation can be determined by the recurring revenue of the firm with consideration of the client-book (e.g. age profile).

No. For sellers looking to retire, this can be accommodated via our Business Buyout and Client Buyout programmes on the basis there is an identified Successor Manager or buyer.

The payment profile will vary to reflect the deal structure and the requirements of the seller, however, it will typically see the majority of total consideration paid within 12 to 24 months with additional upside available in certain scenarios including retained equity.
